American Idol- top 10

The men are starting the competition off this time around:

Mike- I wasn't really feeling this guy AT ALL. The big muscles and tight clothes such a turn off. But tonight he sang "This is a man's world" and it was really awesome. He has a really nice voice.
Randy give him a standing ovation, Ellen liked it, Kara liked it and told him that he owned it and Simon likened his perfomance to a pussy cat turning into a lion. He's a perfect example of how song choice is key and Mike proved it.

John Park is up next. He sings Gravity by John Mayer. It was nice but boring and he's just not memorable. Randy didn't like it and felt it was flat and pitchy. Ellen liked the song choice but said he could've been more soulful. Kara said it was way better than last week but felt no connection and that he needs to take risks. Simon said it was a "so what" performance and that it he may go home this week. Nice guy but sadly I agree.

Casey James tells us in his taped piece that he hasn't owned a tv most of his life which I find crazy and unnatural. Anyway, he sings Wanna be by Gavin Degraw. It was okay. He has a nice voice and he's cute. Randy liked his song choice. Ellen liked everything but felt like he was kinda stiff. I agree. Kara started out very negative. I think she's a bit insecure about all the comments being made about her having a crush on him so she goes at him hard which made her look weird and insecure. Simon was even taken back by her harsh criticism of his performance but he didn;t like the vocals either and thought it was cliche.

Alex Lambert- Says he made up his own language in 6th grade to help him when making up melodies. He gives a sample of this and it sounds errily like the language in Avatar. He's just adorable and sings John Legend "Everybody Knows" and this kid can really sing. He has a natural beautiful voice and I loved his version better than John Legends. I like him. Randy liked it. Ellen said his banana was ripe this week. Kara says he has great tone and an incredible recordable voice. Simon liked it too and wants him to have more of a killer instinct. Says he's a good singer.

Todrick Hall sings Tina Turner's Private Dancer and again butchers the arrangement and it was just cheesy and too much! He was pitchy and I didn't like his jacket. His perfomance was like a cruise ship performer. Horrible. Randy says his arrangement is too much and he needs to just sing. Ellen didn't like the song. Kara thought it was too much and Simon thinks he should just go back to dancing and forget about the singing. He says it was corny and I agree.

Jermaine Sellers did something weird with his hair and tells us that he wears onesies to bed- TMI! He sings Marvin Gayes- What's going on. He suffers from the same problem that Toddrick Hall has and actually I see them as the same person. It was okay but I don't know. Randy said it was better than last week. Ellen said that it didn't work for her. Kara said it was too much and that he needs to pull back- it feels forced. Simon is frustrated because he waters down the songs and plays around with them too much and that it was a cabaret performance. When asked what he should sing Simon says that he's not sure that he's going to be around next week. Enough said. Loose the Diva act!

Andrew Garcia is a breakdancer and he's good at it. He sings James Morrison - You give something. I miss his guitar and I hated the song because it didn't go with his great voice but I like him. Randy said it was pitchy and feels like he's way better than that. Ellen said she liked it alot. Kara said they are comparing all of his performances to his great rendition of Paula Abdul's song that he did at the beginning of the competition. Simon is frustrated and thinks his song choice isn't good.

Aaron Kelly sings My girl by the Temptations. He's 16 and why sing that song? It was cheesy and pitchy but he'll be back next week cause everybody thinks he's cute. Whatever. Randy thought it was good. Really? Ellen thought it was okay but didn't like the song. Kara liked it and Simon didn't like the song choice. When Ryan asks him what he thinks of Justin Beiber he chuckles nervously. Be careful Aaron because their are alot of "Beiber's" out there voting.

Tim Urban should have gone home last week. He came back because someone else got kicked off. He sings Come on Get High by Matt Nathanson. He just can't sing in my opinion and isn't good enough to be part of this competition. Randy hated it. Ellen said he had no stage presence but that he's cute and will be back. Kara liked the song choice but it's not all there. Simon thought it was much better than last week. He liked the song.

Lee Dewyze went to an alternative school. I dated a guy once that went to a bad school but that doesn't make you a bad person- lol. Anyway, Lee has turned his life around for the better. He sings - Lips of an Angel. I like his voice. I thought it was a good song choice. Randy liked the performance. Ellen liked it and thought the performance was great. Kara said she can hear his voice on the radio right now. Simon says that vocally he is so good and he just needs to really believe that. Simon says that he may be the one to beat.

So who is going home this week on the boys side? John, Todrick and Jermaine are the three on the chopping block and deservedly so. We'll see what happens? What guys do think have sang their last song?
